Gruenberg Ships Truck-In Oven for Medical Device Sterilization
Gruenberg, a leading industrial oven and sterilizer manufacturer, is pleased to announce the shipment of one (1) Truck-In Oven to the medical industry. The oven will be used for sterilizing medical devices.
The sterilizing oven has a maximum temperature rating of 300ºF and interior dimensions of 64” W x 78” D x 79” H. The interior chamber is constructed entirely of 304 stainless steel and all interconnecting struts are non-continuous from inner to outer walls to keep the exterior as cool as possible.
The truck-in oven is designed for pass through operation with doors at both the load and unload ends of the oven. The doors are equipped with automatic pneumatic locks which control the door locks in a specific sequence. A stainless-steel multi-bay loading truck was supplied with the unit and the oven floor is designed with two (2) sets of guide tracks to match up with the wheels of the loading truck.
The oven utilizes a horizontal airflow configuration to optimize efficiency and heating rates. The temperature is controlled with an Allen Bradley Compact Logix PLC with Ethernet capabilities, HMI technology, and user-friendly touch screen. Temperature uniformity within the chamber of +/- 5°F at 242.5°F was documented with a 12-point profile test.
“This oven is designed with pass through operation and an automatic locking system to ensure that the load is properly transported through the sterilization cycle. The load truck provides the operator with easy loading and unloading of the product.”
