Thermal Product Solutions Ships Class “A” Pharmaceutical Dryer for Emerging Technology

Thermal Product Solutions (TPS), a global manufacturer of thermal-processing equipment, announced the shipment of a Gruenberg Class “A” Pharmaceutical Dryer. This custom safety oven is designed to meet the customer’s specifications for an emerging pharmaceutical manufacturing technology. To increase the customer’s current production rate, the unit automated the batch process which included automated load and unload tables for the product. By provided the complex automation in addition to the pharmaceutical dryer, TPS was able to provide a complete solution for the customer.

This Gruenberg pharmaceutical dryer has work chamber dimensions of 60” W x 72” H x 76 L. The maximum temperature rating for this custom safety oven is 80⁰C. The wiring for the automated load and unload sections was run inside the framework to keep surfaces clear for ease of cleaning. The customer’s process included solvents which required a Class “A” safety rating. In addition to meeting the safety specifications for the processing of solvents, the unit was also designed with a substantial amount of guarding to protect operators.
