TPS Ships Custom Conveyor Oven for a Leading Supplier of Pet Products

Thermal Product Solutions, a global manufacturer of thermal-processing equipment, announced the shipment of a custom industrial conveyor oven to a manufacturer of pet products. The conveyor oven is a part of a continuous process system that processes pellets used in pet products. The continuous process maximizes the production rate of processing the pellets. From automated loading of pellets onto the conveyor belt from an extruder, to discharging them directly onto the customer’s receiving conveyor, to automatically feed their packaging machine, this system operates efficiently. This process dries approximately 150g/L of water per hour from the wet pellets coming from the upstream process prior to the conveyor oven.

The maximum temperature is 450°F while the normal operating temperature is 250°F. The conveyor belt is 30” wide, constructed of stainless steel wire mesh, and driven by a variable speed motor. The overall work chamber is 34” W x (2) 96” long modules x 16” H. This conveyor oven features two heating modules (Zones 1 and 2) and a cooling module. Each heating module has an electric heating system and a vertical-up type airflow system. The oven has an open 12” conveyor buffer area between Zone 2 and the cooling module (Cooling Zone).
